This is a nice GPS unit, but for the money, I like my Royaltec Bluetooth GPS better. It was a lot less expensive than this (even after the rebate). It's smaller, and it works just as well with my PDA.

This is not a very good deal. A GlobalSat BT-338 with the Sirf III chipset can be had for $120 and an I-Blue with Nemerix chipset can be had for about $100. Both chipsets are superior to the Sirf IIe chipset.

one good option with the Pharos is the GPS reciever comes off the dock and can be used with a USB cabe or CF adaptor (both sold seperately, of course).
I have the USB version of this and it is pretty awesome (at least compared to a Garmin GPS II plus)...

Can you use the sirf iii with a PDA? Using streets and trips? or does it have software with it?
